Joint Picnic with Tokyo-Area Churches

Monday October 8 was a national holiday here in Japan. The people of Kami-fukuoka, Fukuin Chapel and Iriso Church in Tokyo took the opportunity to have their yearly joint picnic. Mirial Gainer Returns from Stateside Assignment

Mirial Gainer recently returned from spending several months on home assignment. Her trip was long and had its share of troubles, but by God's grace and providence she is safely settled in Hokkaido. She stayed a couple of weeks in Tokyo for medical reasons and then relocated to Hokkaido, where she will work with the team in Ebetsu city. We thank the Lord for her safe return, and pray for his blessings on her as she continues to work in Hokkaido!

The 2007 Tokyo E-team comprised nine high school students and two adult sponsors. They experienced riding trains (some quite crowded!) subways, and buses; visiting many of Tokyo’s famous sites; and tasting new and different foods. More importantly, though, the group ministered in all three Tokyo area F.W.B. churches and experienced many ways of doing ministry in the sprawling urban mass of humanity called Tokyo. Read More...
