Busy Summer Ahead

It’s the lull before the storm. It’s a good lull, and we’re looking forward to the “storm” of summer activities. Even at that, it has been a busy lull. Our children are enjoying the new school year. (In Japan the school year is April to March.) Megan (8th) is attending the local Junior High School, Andrew (6th) and Jacob (2nd) are at the local elementary school, and Noah at kindergarten. A new video has been produced presenting the ministry and Pastor and Mrs. Matsuda in Hokkaido. In addition to taking on the challenge of church-planting at Taihei Chapel, the couple spend much of their time operating a kind of halfway house for emotionally distraught patients of a local hospital. Known as the Kanfu House, it allows residents to bridge the gap between hospitalization for emotional reasons and release back into society.
