Kanto churches celebrate new work in Kamifukuoka!
Sunday, November 11, 2007
Believers from several churches gathered today
at Kamifukuoka church in Tokyo to officially
celebrate it's "pre-opening." Ken and Judy
Bailey, assisted by the Nomura family
consisting of Osamu and Yoko Nomura, and
Osamu's mother, have been in the process of
founding this new work in the city of Fujimino
in Tokyo for the past few months. This work has
actually grown out of a years-long effort in
the Shiki area. Mr. Nomura's father has also
been instrumental in securing the location for
the worship center. Together the Baileys and
the Nomuras form the Tojo team and are excited
to see God work in the Fujimino area. Please
pray for this new work and for the Tojo team!
Pray that the Lord will strengthen them and
give them a strong testimony of His love for
the Japanese people! Tokyo is a large city and
it was encouraging to see members of other
churches come in support of this new work. Pray
that the Lord would bless the fellowship
between the churches in the Tokyo area and
thereby encourage His people!
