Children's Christmas Hour at Good News Chapel
Thursday, December 13, 2007
Dec. 9th--Both children and parents enjoyed the
Sunday afternoon Christmas celebration at Good
News Chapel (Tokyo). Mrs. Hayakawa, a young mom
from the church's English program, brought her
daughter to enjoy her first ever Christmas
celebration at a church. Mr. Masashi Nakamura,
an unsaved contact of the Good News Chapel,
brought his 5th grade daughter Akane for the
activities. They joined with other elementary
children and Amy and Caroline McDonald in
singing Christmas songs, and hearing the
Christmas story as told by Etsuko Asashi.
Etsuko directed everyone in a constructing a
beautiful Advent Calendar that incorporated the
Christmas story. Church member Kenji Hosokawa
led in the singing time and used the
opportunity to talk with Mr. Nakamura. Along
with a small present and tract from the church,
all received an interactive Christmas CD which
included testimonials and Christmas songs
especially designed for outreach.
