Membership Roll at Good News Chapel
Friday, May 30, 2008
The official church roll for Good News Chapel
(Tokyo) showed a marked increase after the
worship service on Sunday May 25th. Five adults
officially joined the church. They
enthusiastically committed themselves to
serving and supporting the outreach of the
church while protecting the unity of the
fellowship as it grows in its love for Christ.
Two days after taking on official membership, Mrs. Keiko Nonaka quickly followed up on her commitment by directing a Bible study for the first time. All five have actively been using their giftedness in the church for months in creative ways. Their eager participation has resulted in an enthusiasm for ministry that expressed itself in the desire for church membership.
These five commitments to official church membership at Good News Chapel can be seen as God's hand actively strengthening the young congregation as it prepares for a year of leadership change. Dale and Sandra Bishop will step into the leadership role of the church while the Donnie McDonald family begin their stateside assignment in mid June.
