Get Involved...

For over fifty years Free Will Baptists have been working in Japan and producing fruit. If you are interested in being a part of the work in Japan, the doors are wide open! Below are just some of the ways people have been involved in the past:

• E-TEAM
For years high school students have been coming to Japan for a couple of weeks each year to minister and learn about what God is doing here. The experience is rich and even life-changing! If you are a teen in high school and are interested in participating in the E-TEAM program, please contact our main mission offices for more information.

• Special Mission Trips
Send small groups to help out for special projects or events. Gain a vision firsthand of the breadth of possibilities that God has for Japan, and for how you can be further involved.

• Short-term Ministries
Professionals and laypeople alike will find they have a lot to contribute even as short-term personnel. Whether teaching English conversation classes, working in music ministries, or even more specialized areas such as education, media, or medical fields, the doors to ministry are open!

• College Mission Program
College students have been coming to Japan for several weeks at a time in recent summers as "Overseas Apprentices." This has the advantage of not only developing their vision for God's church worldwide and their own place in it, but usually also counting towards course credit.
If you are a college student and are looking for an opportunity to impact your world for Jesus Christ, the College Mission Programs may be what you are looking for. For more information on this please visit our home office's CMP page.

• Career Missionary
Too bold a move? Why not? We're in need of fellow Christians who want to serve the Lord's work abroad on a long-term basis. Others have made that decision and done it, so why not you? If you've decided God has called you to missionary work, and specifically to Japan, please let us or our home office know! Missionary work in Japan is in no short supply, and we need dedicated people to join us in showing God's love to the Japanese people.

• Prayer and Financial Support
Without prayer we shouldn't expect much. We need people to partner with us in praying for the Japanese people and for our work in Japan. If you want more detailed information on how best to pray, please visit our Praying for Japan page. We also need people to partner with us financially to help overcome one of the greatest obstacles in Japan: a high cost of living and ministry expense. Japan is simply an expensive place to plant churches, and financial resources are necessary to do this.
